PAA Cell Phone Policy

Purpose:

To help everyone stay focused and safe at school.

Who Does This Apply To?

This is a province wide policy.

What’s Expected:

Keep your phones, tablets, smartwatches, and headphones on silent or turned off
and put away during class. You can use them during flex or lunch breaks.

Exceptions:

Medical conditions which need permission from a doctor.

For specifc learning activities during class.

Social Media:

You won’t be able to access social media sites on school Wi-Fi during school hours.

What Happens if You Break the Rules:

Everyone at school (including students, staff, and parents) is responsible for following these rules.

1st time: You’ll get a verbal warning, and be reminded of the policy.
2nd time: Your device will be turned in to the office until the end of the day, and your parents/guardians will be informed.
3rd time: Your device will be turned in to the office, and your parents/guardians will need to meet with the Principal.
